Idli is one of the healthiest and easily digestible diet. You can give to even a 6 month old baby as well. Here comes the semi-easy part. The Batter is now ready to make spongy Idli’s :).

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  • Mix the Batter and you  pour the batter in greased Idli plate.

Making of Idli

  • Keep it in the Idli cooker and bake/steam it for 8 to 10 minutes in the medium- high flame.
  • The remaining rest of the batter can be kept in the refrigerator and be used up to a week.
  • Serve the cooked hot Idli with Chutney/ Sambar and Gunpowder.
  • And the super easy part – enjoy eating it :).

Tip:

  • For babies you can give Idli with ghee and sugar.
  • For stomach ache, eat Idli on top of gingili oil. It will cure soon.

Note:

  • If the batter is too thick then you idly becomes hard. So add few spoons of water and mix it and then make idles.
  • Make sure the batter is no too watery, then you can’t make Idli’s.
  • You can make Dosa, Uttapam, Savory Paniyaram etc… I will post those in the coming weeks.
