This receipe is a quick,easy and healthy snack. No need to soak it before. This is the perfect dish for Navarathri Neivedhayam to the goddess.
INGREDIENTS:
- Channa Dhal – 1 cup
- Salt – to taste
- Green chillies – 2 or 3
- Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Grated coconut – 4 tablespoons
- Hing – 1 pinch
- Curry leaves
PREPARATION:
- Wash the channa dhal in water.
- Take the pressure cooker. Make sure the water kept for pressure cooking should be just that it dips the dhal. Keep for 2 whistles. Don’t overcook or it will become mushy.
- Then cool,drain all the water.
- Pulse the grated coconut and green chillies without adding any water.
- Take a pan add oil and fry the mustard seeds, curry leaves , hing.
- Add the strained dhal and saute for a few minutes.
- Then add the pulsed coconut mix and salt .
- Serve it hot.
