A favorite dish from my Mother-in-Law and is a hit among our family. Hope you folks will like it as well.

Masala Sevai

SERVING SIZE – 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • Cooked Rice Noodles – 3 cups (click the link for Recipe)
  • Onion [m] – 1 no
  • Tomato [m] – 1 no
  • Mixed veggies (Potato, carrot, beans and peas) – 1 cup combined (cut it into small pieces)
  • Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp (optional)
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coriander leaves – few
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

PREPARATION:

  • Taka a Kadai, heat the oil and add Mustard seeds. When it splutters, add the chopped Onion and saute it until it gets golden. Then add the Ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone. Add the chopped Tomato and turmeric powder.Saute it until it cooks.
  • Add the chopped Veggies and add ½ cup of water. Let it cook until Veggies become tender. Cook it in the low flame. Make sure all the veggies are cooked and no moisture is in the bottom.
  •  Add the Red Chili powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala powder and salt, mix it well.
  • Add the cooked Noodles and mix all well together. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Serve it hot with Raita / Chutney.
