This is for all the Peanut lovers out there! – Peanut Chutney, famous across the Telegu-land and is an excellent substitute for Cocunut Chutney.Enjoy the Nuttiness all the way!
Ingredients:
- Peanuts – 1/3 cup
- Roasted Channa Dal / Pottukadalai – 2 tbsp
- Red Chili – 2 nos / to taste
- Salt – to taste
- Tamarind paste – ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
For Tempering:
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
- Urad dal – ¼ tsp
- Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Serves – 3 persons
Preparation Time – 10 min
Preparation:
- Take a Kadai, add few drops of oil. Roast the Peanuts, Red Chilies, Roasted Channa Dal and Curry leaves. Let it cool. Don’t burn it by roasting too much.
- Grind it with Tamarind paste, Salt and little Water. Grind it until smooth consistency.
- Taka a Kadai, heat the Oil, add Mustard seeds. When it splutters, add the Urad dal. When it’s golden color, add the Asafoetida. Pour it into the Chutney.
- Serve it as side dish for any Indian tiffin items. Or eat it with Rice.
