One of my favorite Italian bakery item of all times. I finally had a go at it and came right the first time. Its none other than Tiramisu aka ‘Pick me up’. It’s such an easy recipe to make with off the shelf ingredients. You wouldn’t believe how much of a surprise dessert it can be with minimal effort and keep your audience fall in love with it.

Ingredients:
- Ladyfingers – 2 pack / as needed (see note first)
- Mascarpone cheese – 8 Oz
- Cool whip – 2 cups
- Sugar – ½ cup / as needed
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Coffee water (cooled) – 2 cups (see notes)
- Unsweetened coco powder – 2 tbsp / as needed
Serves – 4 to 6 people
Preparation Time – 20 min
Cooling Time – minimum 6 Hrs to max 2 days
Preparation:
- Take a big bowl and add the Mascarpone cheese, Sugar, Vanilla essence and mix it well. Then add the cool whip and gently mix it.
- Take a vessel and dip the Ladyfinger in the coffee water and arrange it. Then spread the cheese mix and dust the coco powder on top.
- Repeat the same order 2 or 3 times. [Depending on the vessel shape it may vary].
- Keep it in the refrigerator min 6 hours to 48 hours. You can prepare 2 days ahead of time before you serve.
- Enjoy the yummy Tiramisu!!! I bet it will be tastier than the Restaurant
Note:
- For Coffee: You can use regular filter coffee or Espresso coffee Filter or in the warm water add instant coffee powder (like Bru). At the end, use cooled coffee water.
- Ladyfinger: You can either use the regular grocery store made soft cake Ladyfinger (I prefer this) than the branded Ladyfinger (Savoiardi). The branded one is less sweet and not as soft.
