Ingredients:
- Ready made Puff Pastry sheet – 1
- Melted butter – 2 tbsp
For Vegetable Masala:
- Onion (S) – 1 no (Finely chopped)
- Potato (M) – 1 no (peel the skin and chop into small pieces)
- Carrot – (M) – 1 no (peel the skin and chop into small pieces)
- French Beans – ¼ cup (Finely chopped)
- Peas (Frozen) -1 fist full
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (Finely chopped)
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala – ¼ tsp
- Amchoor powder – ½ tsp [OR] Lemon juice – 2 tsp / to taste
- Grated ginger – ¼ tsp
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
[Serves – 4 (10-12 pieces)
Masala Preparation Time – 15 min
Baking Time – 10 to 12 min
Preparation:
- Wash and Cook the Potato, Carrot, Beans and Peas until become soft. Drain the excess water. Roughly mash it and keep it aside.
- Heat the Oil in the Kadai, add the Cumin seeds. When it splutters, add the Onion and Ginger. Saute it and when it becomes translucent, add the Turmeric powder, Red Chili powder, Coriander powder and Salt. Mix it well.
- Add the cooked Veggies, Garam masala, Amchoor powder and Coriander leaves. Mix it well. Take it out, keep it aside and let it cool.
- Get the pastry sheets out of the freezer and thaw it (usually not more than 30 min). It has be easy enough to open up without breaking and still be cold.
- Open and roll the pastry sheets. Cut the pastry sheets into desire shapes (like rectangle or square). And take a tbsp of the vegetable masala filling and put it in the center and close it. I did in the following 3 ways (choose the one you like).
- Make it as sandwich, on the bottom sheet put the filling and cover it with another sheet.
- Take a big sheet add the filling in the center, fold and cover it.
- Prepare in triangle shape like Samosa.
- Grease the baking tray with melted Butter and arrange the Puffs. Apply melted Butter on each puff. (Don’t apply too much)
- Preheat the oven for 420 degree F and bake it for 12 minutes/ until golden color on top.
- Take it out and put it in the cooling tray for few minutes.
