One day I was wandering confused on what to make for dinner. Don’t want to do the usual stuff, but also don’t want to overdo myself. I saw this Besan flour isolated and asking my inner self – help me out of this isolation to be freed. Giving it a thought, I decide to do it a favor and the idea of Besan Dosa came to mind. And, it did come out well and the Besan was served its wish.
Ingredients:
- Besan / Chick pea flour – 1 cup
- Rice Flour – ¼ Cup
- Curd – 2 tbsp
- Green chilies – 2 (Finely Chopped)/ to taste
- Curry leaves / coriander leaves – few (Finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Grated ginger – ¼ tsp
- Asafetida – 1 pinch
- Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
- Salt – to taste
- Onion [m] – 1 (Finely Chopped)
Serves – 4 to 5 dosas
Time – 15 to 20 min
Preparation:

- Mix all the ingredients with ¾ to 1 cup of water and make it into the smooth batter.

- Pour this batter into the hot skillet and spread it around quickly with the back of a ladle, evenly spread outwards in circular motion. Drizzle ½ tsp of oil in the circumference.

- Let it cook for 1 min in the medium flame and flip over to the another side and cook it for 30 sec. take it out and keep it into the plate/ hot pack.

- Serve it hot with Sambar, Chutney, Gunpowder. It goes well with Grated Jaggery too.
